What’s the largest event to take place in London before the Olympics? The WorldSkills London 2011 event. XMA is proud to be a silver sponsor of this event alongside Cisco, Honda and Snap-On, with City & Guilds being premier sponsor.
WorldSkills London is the world’s largest international skills competition and includes IT skills such as information network cabling, IT/Software solutions for business and IT PC/Network systems administration. The 41st event takes place at ExCel in London over four days (5th-8th October) with 150,000 visitors expected. 1,000 young people from 50 nations who have qualified in regional/national heats will battle it out in 45 different skills, competing to be crowned best of the best in their chosen skill.
WorldSkills London 2011 is also running ‘Have a Go’, a national campaign to provide one million opportunities for people across the UK to try a new skill. Why not take your students along?
