The Leading Ethical Brand
Brother
UK is proud to announce that The Ethical Company Organisation has
awarded Brother Industries with the Ethical Company Accreditation
status. We see such rewards as being testament to our customer
focussed, ethically driven approach.
The Ethical Company
Organisation measures a company’s ethical practices by looking at
aspects such as energy consumption rates, TCO certification and
environmental reporting.
As one of the leaders of ethical
practices across our combined business sectors, Brother is continually
working towards sustaining and developing its ethical business
practices.
The results of the Ethical Company’s findings have been published in The Good Shopping Guide.
The
guide aims to help consumers to make informed decisions about which
consumer brands are best for the planet and is a comprehensive
directory of companies who practice ethical trading.
Working in Harmony with the Environment
Brother
has absolute commitment to minimise our environmental impact, providing
the very best working conditions for our employees and making a
positive contribution to the communities where we work.
We have
much to be proud of – from achieving the rigorous ISO 14001:2004
standard for environmental management, to the world-leading green
credentials of the products we sell. Brother has made significant
investment in the development of environmentally friendly products that
use less energy, last longer, and are easy to recycle. We have a long
standing reputation as industry leaders in this field, and we were the
first manufacturer to achieve the global TCO ’99 standard environmental
accreditation on a printer, and we remain the only manufacturer of
printers, faxes and all-in-ones to hold this standard.
In keeping
with our industry-leading reputation, Brother has also consistently
kept ahead of the requirements of key environmental legislation.
