The classroom environment is considered one of the most challenging for IT equipment and services, and now with the added complication of ever tightening budgets, schools are finding it harder and harder to identify ways to cut costs but still ensure the same level of education.

One area many schools over look when searching for cost savings is print. Believe it or not, printing is consistently in the top five overheads for institutions, all due to a number of small factors combining together to result in a large, but avoidable cost.

Many schools fall into the trap of just buying the cheapest printer available at the time without fully realising the long term cost implications involved. There’s usually a very good reason why that ‘bargain priced’ printer is so “unbelievably” low.
